Social Determinants of Health

These electives are important for students interested in addressing health inequities and pursuing careers in public health policy, community health, social work, and health education. Understanding the social determinants of health is essential for developing effective interventions and creating equitable health policies. Topics include socioeconomic status, education, neighborhood and physical environment, employment, social support networks, and access to healthcare.
