Jacqueline Hackett, MPP MPH, is currently a Fogarty-Fulbright Fellow in Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, Thailand. Professionally, she serves as the Senior Policy Advisor at the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, where she has worked for 15 years to develop and implement the President’s National Drug Control Strategy. Her work focuses on analyzing state and local policies to increase access to evidence-based substance use programs, and engaging individuals with lived experience in policymaking. She received her MPH from Johns Hopkins where her thesis evaluated state policies to improve reimbursement for peer support specialists, and her MPP from George Washington University. Ms. Hackett serves as adjunct faculty at both Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and George Washington University. She is a doctoral candidate at Johns Hopkins University’s Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she focuses on substance use and addiction in the Department of Health Policy and Management.
