Welcome to WashU!

The Bear Beginnings Open House welcomes first-year students to the WashU campus and the Public Health & Society community.

Embark on this exciting journey with us and become a pioneer in shaping a healthier, more equitable world.

During the Public Health & Society open house, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about the major and minor
  • Meet our faculty and staff
  • Get access to the Public Health & Society Student Handbook
  • Enjoy some snacks!

We look forward to meeting you!

How to find us:

Step 1: Find Hillman Hall.

Here is a campus map. Hillman is near the Sumers Welcome Center.

Step 2: Get to the Garden Level.

Enter Hillman from this side

As you round the bend on that side of the building, do not enter though the first door. Please use the second door on that side of the building.

You will already be on the correct floor. We will be found in Room 60, which is a lecture hall on your right-hand side.

If you enter from a different door, make your way to the Garden Level. We are in a curved hallway. We know that Hillman Hall can be difficult to navigate.

Step 3: Come on in!

Once you find us, we will be down front in the lecture hall. The lecture hall is accessible. Please come up front, say hi, and grab a snack.

There are accessible restrooms in the same hallway as our event. There is even an accessible all genders restroom, for those who prefer.
