Civic Action Weeks 2026: Translating Research to Policy

Understanding policy-making processes is crucial for researchers who want their work to lead to meaningly policy impact. In a presentation from Timothy D. McBride, PhD, MS, students will learn how research can be framed and disseminated to contribute positively to change efforts. This will include best practices for designing written products that will effectively and succinctly communicate findings.

This is a part of the Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement’s Civic Action Weeks event series. This Civic Action Weeks event is hosted by the Center for Advancing Health Services, Policy & Economics Research (CAHSPER) and co-sponsored by the Policy & Structural Solutions (PS2) research network at the School of Public Health and the Clark-Fox Policy Institute.
